Yahoo! & Google Update Back Links

Early reports are suggesting that both Yahoo! and Google have done a substantial back link update today. This does not really surprise me; especially considering Yahoo! just released their site explorer and the joining of Google, Yahoo and MSN for the sitemaps project.

It certainly seems to me that at least Google and Yahoo! are making index updates rather frequently. Which is good news for everyone.

    Brandon -
    Just off the top of my head, won’t this only help people who have acrued backlinks since the last update? My site hasn’t gotten many links since early december when we were heavy into the blogging and had our site dugg, so Im worried that this update will significantly lower our SE rankings. Any thoughts?

    Hi Nick,

    It will help those that have acrued backlinks overall. Or at least that is my opinion. This update is supposed to make things a lot more accurate in terms of the link tool.
